About
Starting from Greek mythology, Atlas was the Titan responsible for bearing the weight of the heavens on his shoulders. This burden was given to him by Zeus as punishment for fighting alongside the Titans against the Olympian gods. According to another tradition, Atlas was turned to stone by Perseus, being transformed into rock upon seeing Medusa’s face.
Bringing things back to the present day, Hotel Atlas embodies the history of Olympus, which continues to stimulate the imagination of both researchers and history enthusiasts alike. There are elements that originated in Antiquity and with which we all come into daily contact.
In creating the hotel’s atmosphere, designer Aurelian Scorobete aimed to combine two contrasting styles: ancient and modern. Closely connected to Antiquity, and especially to the Titan Atlas who stands in the hotel’s lobby, and in order to highlight the rust tones and the luxurious, opulent life of the gods, he chose the Art Deco style.
