(Re)discover the beauties of Timiș. The County Council has launched an interactive virtual tour

Whether we are talking about monuments, manors, castles, museums, memorial houses, or waterfalls, lakes, and other natural treasures, this initiative aims to stimulate tourism by attracting visitors from within the country or from abroad. The virtual tour is also available in English and German.

In addition to the possibility of exploring the attractions in a 360° format, the tour includes images and descriptive texts, making navigation intuitive and easy. Moreover, the application allows generating directions on the map to the presented sites. Over time, a section dedicated to the HORECA sector will be updated to facilitate trip planning.

This was also the idea behind the virtual tour, which brings a near-realistic view of tourist attractions into people’s homes. We are taking advantage of new technologies to make these destinations known to a large number of potential tourists. I am confident that for many of them, experiencing the virtual tour will encourage them to spend their free time in our county,” says Alexandru Proteasa, Vice President of the Timiș County Council.

It should be noted that a module presenting additional tourist attractions in Timișoara, developed by the Timiș County Center for Culture and Arts, is nearing completion. This will be integrated into the virtual tour at the beginning of next year.
