The beautiful bathing resorts of Călacea are situated in the lowlands of Banat, about 25 kilometers from Timișoara and 30 kilometers from Arad, at an altitude of 117 meters.
The thermal waters in Călacea have a temperature of 38-40 degrees, being recommended for diseases of the locomotor system, the peripheral nervous system, for degenerative rheumatic diseases, as well as for gastritis or hepato-biliary diseases.
The warm baths are contraindicated in people with hypertension or malignant tumor sufferers, infectious diseases, heart failure or tuberculosis.
In the treatment base of Călacea, the tourists can benefit from various treatments: kinetotherapy, electrotherapy, laser therapy, paraffin wraps, diadinamics, massage or light baths.
The resort's recreational area includes the open air bath with Olympic pools, football and tennis courts and playgrounds for children.
The park of the resort occupies an area of almost 14 hectares, here being secular trees and other species of plants. Inside the park of Călacea Bathing Resort there is a lake with white water lilies and a small zoo, whose attraction is represented by the deer, alongside which can be seen different species of birds and bunnies.
In the Călacea Bathing Resort there are 90 places of accomodation during the season and 60 places off-season.
Tourists can eat at the resort's restaurant.
